FISHING REPORTS

Trout fishing at Jocassee this season is nearly non existent.  There has been only four legal size trout caught in the last three Jim Orr Trout Tournament Series (Jan-Feb-Mar) and only one in the last two events.  It was a dandy 8.8 pounder by Lee Socovik.  

The stocking efforts have been near complete failures the last two season which means what few trout are available are from the class of 2022 and are of trophy size now, but those are tough to come by.  Unfortunately this year's stocking does not seem to be doing any better.  

Jocassee is still a beautiful lake, but the trout are very rare at this time.
